13 days Lodge Safari Great Northern Safari Circuit

The 13 days northern circuit  Tanzania safari involves the key spotlights of Tanzania, with so many chances to enjoy the scenery and interact with the local people at your time of convenience.

Day  1         ARRIVAL

You will be welcomed by our tour guide  from the Airport in Arusha and transferred to Rivertrees country inn.In Arusha,its about a short talk about how to enjoy our safari.The gorgeous lodge is positioned close to the banks of the spectacular Usa River near to the old German Coffee estate,It gives a magnificence view of Mt Meru along with Mt Kilimanjaro.

Day 2         Lake Manyara

In the morning,you will be picked by our tour guide and drive through the Great Rift valley to Lake Manyara National Park for a game ride.The park is well known for its beautiful vegetation,forests with different kinds of trees,Its name originated from the Masai phrase  that says euphorbia tirucalli,a forest made up of thorny boundary to safeguard their cattle.Among the animals discovered in this park include monkeys,antelopes,zebras,buffaloes,hippos,giraffe,Elephants and many others.Another exciting adventure in this park is the Manyara lions famous for their climbing behavior and at times relaxing on the branches of the acacia tree.The bird are in different species and in large numbers for instance horn bills,pelicans,flamingos and many others.Overnight at E Unoto Retreat and all meals cartered for.

Day 3        Lake Manyara -Lake Natron

Very early in the morning,we head out to Engaruka Ruins adjacent to Lake Natron on a terrible road with dusty.On your way, you will enjoy the beauty of the scenery including Masai communities, zebras, baboons, gazelle, giraffe further more bird species like kites, vultures, starlings, corny Bustards and Ostriches.It may take about 4 hour’s drive including checking in at your accommodation and having some lunch. In the afternoon,you take on a nature guided walk around Lake Natron and discover the deepest place of the Great Rift Valley in Tanzania with about 600m to 2000ft and prominent for a large number of flamingos along with other water birds.This is because the lake has a high volume of zooplankton,algae as well as Sodium carbonate.You can as well trek Ngare Sero river and enjoy the beauty as the river flows into Lake Natron.After an exhausting walk,we get to the source of the river and delight

in the dropping waterfalls through the mountain.Expert swimmers can surely enjoy the cool water  under the scorching sun.The gorge also has wild animals for example the baboons.Overnight at Lake Natron Tented Camp and all meals catered for.Take note,swimming may be done as regards to the weather conditions along with the water level,meaning it may be possible or not at times.

Day 4            Lake Natron-Serengeti

Right after breakfast,we proceed to lake Natron to catch the glimpse of the flamingos,the lake is well known for harboring this bird species.Depending on what you want,you may decide to walk through the salty water.After that we continue our journey to Serengeti enjoying the view of the Masai communities and wild animals moving around.On your way,you come across Loliondo Area marging Serengeti National park and still move close to the western corridor and delight in the migration that passes by through the months of June/July.Lunch is served at Kopje known as rock outcropping at Serengeti.Once in the park,you will take on the game drive through Central Serebgeti and Ikoma.Overnight at Mapito  Camp at Ikoma .

Day  5         Serengeti

In  the morning, we take on a game drive to see the night time  animals,predators getting back after searching for food and other animals waking up at the bright morning with other game rides around the park.When you come in the period of migration,you will be able to see animals such as antelopes, rhinos, baboons, monkeys, wildebeest, lions and different bird species. Our guide will be working with other drivers in different areas to ensure that there are animals to be seen in a particular area.Overnight at Mapito Tented Camp at Ikoma .Breakfast and Dinner included .

Day 6         Lake Victoria

Early morning we take on the game drives around Serengeti and we enjoy the view of Lake Victoria.In the Afternoon,we drive through the hills to delight in the rural cities of Tanzania including the villages of sakuma and their main activity is growing crops such as groundnuts,sorghum,cassava,cotton and some bit of rearing cattle.Their way of life is simply to adopt to and its quite interesting to all travelers. As you visit the villages, you will also discover the rural schools and take a walk to kopje. Overnight at Speke Bay Lodge and all meals part of the budget.

Day 7         Lake Victoria -

In the morning, we take on a customary fishing canoe tour to a fishing ground.The natives will propel the canoes and start right away with the activity. The outlook is distinctive around the lake shore with both men and women working.The paddlers work as they sing their traditional songs concerning life and cattle.Mileage away, you can easily see the sails of the fishing dhows as well as boats coming at the landing site from a night fishing. In the afternoon, you continue with the village visits and interact with the local people around lake Victoria. The day is concluded with an exciting visit to a customary healer in Sukuma Villages.Overnight at speke Bay Lodge and all meals included.

Day  8         Lake Victoria-Lake Ndutu,

Right after breakfast,we depart to southern Serengeti thus passing through central Serengeti up to Ndutu area for game driving in the region of lake Ndutu,a place where the migration recollects in the months of January and February for their colt as well as the calving period.Overnight at Ndutu safari lodge and all meals on the budget.

Day 9         Ngorongoro

In the morning we take breakfast and proceed to Ngorongoro for an exciting game drive with lunch en route.Ngorongoro crater is the biggest intact volcanic caldera with a beautiful view of all the Africa’s wild animals.Its well know to be the treasures of the world.This place harbors a rare spicy called Black rhino,thus its where you can discover it in its natural environment.  Its acknowledged that a small number of animals migrate in and out of the crater because of its wall,other animals to expect include hippos,zebras,elephants,lions,jackals,antelopes,flamingos  and different kinds of bird species. Surprisingly the big five animals can be seen in one game drive.Overnight at Sopa Lodge Ngorongoro.

Day 10        Lake Eyasi

Right from Ngorongoro,you will head to lake Eyasi a dwelling to many gathers cultural team of the Hadzabe bushmen having identical features to those of the great Bushmen of Southern Africa.The modest people of this native tribe are actually the happiest living in peace with beautiful flora and fauna and other nature features.Lake Eyasi is enclosed with another group of people called Datoga,these have a low standard of living.The day is concluded with cultural experiences and a wonderful sunset along the banks of Lake. Overnight at Kisima Ngeda Tented Camp at Lake Eyasi.

Day  11        Tarangire

In the morning,you start the day with nature walk well guided by the bushmen,who are going to take you all around their customary hunting paths. After which we leave for Tarangire, Its known to be Tanzania’s third biggest park as well as a dwelling to the rare vast elephant population. Among the exciting features include the baobab trees,dwarfing creatures that feed on them. Tarangire River is fully occupied with many animals due to its water supply and among these include the  lions, elephants, cheetah, leopard as well as buffalos. Overnight at Tarangire safari lodge or River camp.

Day 12         Tarangire-Arusha

The day is started with the last game drive or nature walk around the park prior to departure time.In the After noon, we head to Arusha and overnight is at Rivertrees Country Inn.

Day  13         Departure

Early in the morning, we proceed to the airport for our home flight or perhaps a continuation to Zanzibar.Take note, if you leave using another airport rather than Zanzibar,our guide will organize a flight link to your Airport.To Dar Es Salaam as well as the ferry boats.
